Lots of new snow yesterday has filled up most of the gullies in Coire an t-Sneachda with waist deep soft snow. so a change of plan saw me take to a very blustery ridge. Lots of driving snow, hail with bad vis thrown in for good measure. Sun was making more of an appearance by the time I topped out, which gave me a chance to look down the gullies, Alladins couloir looks full of soft stuff on the main section but the top is almost scoured clean by the wind. Gullys on the far left of Coire might go but there’s a cornice to overcome, was frozen when I passed. Top of Cairngorm is all frozen with Whiteout while I was there, dug snow hole with intentions to stay for night but to tired to go back up now, let’s see what tomorrow brings.
